Hey guys,
I thought I’d be really nifty and include a QR code that sent you to a 90’s style Xmas letter. It was going to be quick and easy and a throwback to simpler times.
Things have spiraled out of control, though, and I’ve somehow found myself building an entire webpage. Enjoy this ridiculous update and remind me next year to stick with a basic card.
Turned two in October.
She’s a little chatter box and loves saying things like, “I don’t want to” and “Dad, are your nuts OK?” My personal favorite is, “Bye babe” anytime Troy leaves. Thankfully she hasn’t dropped an F bomb yet, but its coming…
Riley has a fond love for music. Relentlessly requesting bangers like, Wheels on the Bus, Rock-a-bye-baby and Baby Shark.
When Riley isn’t rocking out to music that makes her parent’s ears bleed, she loves playing with her baby doll, eating ice cream, playing at the park, and pushing kids at daycare (we’re working on the last one).
In 2025, Riley visited her first national parks (Grand Canyon, Grand Teton and Yellowstone). She also embarked on her first overnight rafting trip – 3 days and 2 nights on the Colorado River to celebrate Shelley’s 40th. It was a hoot and Riley loved it.
I made the very dumb decision to make contentment my word for 2025. The universe laughed in my face and decided to see how content I could be with two achilles ruptures that resulted in one surgery, one hard cast for 8 weeks, 3 months of non-weight bearing and over half a year of no walking. It was not easy, nor fun, but I think I learned a few things…
I’ve been working full-time with TLB running the business side of things and trying to figure out how to be an interior designer. Its super fun and I’m loving being creative and getting my feet wet.
When Troy wasn’t busy holding down the fort while I rotted on the couch, he finished building our very first spec house on the canyon rim in Twin Falls, ID! It was a massive undertaking and a bit of a suffer fest (both physically and mentally)… but the house is under contract and we close on December 19th. We did it!
Thankfully, 2025 wasn’t all work and no play (that’s what 2024 was for). Troy went crabbing in the PNW for the first time (BIG fan) and hunted for approximately 48 weeks this fall (archery elk, antelope and deer). TL Outfitters helped get Brian his first buck, brought Mikahla out of buck hunting retirement and got Mike a white tail. Troy wanted to also make it clear that he still goes fishing…
We had a great year – here’s to 2026. If we didn’t see you, no excuses – GET YOUR ASS TO IDAHO FOR A VISIT!
Hugs, kisses, blah, blah, blah,
The Larabees
